Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Addy Burgess and Izzy Mooney Lead Denbigh Baptist Christian to Victory

The Denbigh Baptist Christian Minutemen earned a 2-0 win over the James River HomeSchool Eagles on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Minutemen.

Leading Denbigh Baptist Christian to victory were Izzy Mooney and Addy Burgess. Mooney had five digs and four aces, while Burgess had 23 assists. That's the most aces Mooney has posted since back in November of 2024.

Denbigh Baptist Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coincidentally, Denbigh Baptist Christian and James River HomeSchool will both be playing Brunswick Academy the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Vikings at 2:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Minutemen will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
