The Snowflake Lobos will take on the St. Johns Redskins at 1:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Snowflake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8  runs per game  this season.
St. Johns' hitters are going to have their work cut out for them  on Thursday: Snowflake hadn't allowed a single  run the last three times they've hit the field. Snowflake's pitcher stepped up to hand Page  a   10-0 shutout  on Tuesday. The Lobos haven't had any issues with the Sand Devils recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive  win against them.

 Kyler Matthews made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  strikeouts. He was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Matthews is  crushing it when it comes to  stolen bases: he's   snagged at least one every time he's  taken the field this season.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Skip Bawden, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2. He has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played.  Tate Matthews was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances.
 Snowflake  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .519. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Page only posted  an  OBP of  .211.
Meanwhile, St. Johns had to endure  a  five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past Morenci  6-5. The Redskins' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
  McKray Johnson and  T Platt did most of the damage at the plate:  Johnson  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3, while  Platt  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4. Johnson also put up a  double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Cy Lindsey, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  RBI.
 Snowflake's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for St. Johns, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
St. Johns' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Snowflake has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .497. It's a different story for St. Johns, though, as  they've  only  averaged .356. Will they be able to contain Snowflake's hitters?
