Softball Recap: Bonney Lake Panthers vs. Graham-Kapowsin Eagles
Bonney Lake had lost three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 8-8 to make it four. They came up short against the Graham-Kapowsin Eagles, falling 13-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on April 4th.
Bonney Lake saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Berg, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
As for Graham-Kapowsin, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The result was nothing new for Graham-Kapowsin, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.
On Graham-Kapowsin's side, Marley McDaniel was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits McDaniel has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Riley Nieblas, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bonney Lake will welcome Spanaway Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers are facing the Sentinels at the right time seeing as the Sentinels are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Graham-Kapowsin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Olympia at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
