Red Wing had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 14-1 to the Mankato East Cougars on Thursday. Red Wing haven't had much luck with Mankato East recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Looking ahead, Red Wing will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Mankato West at 6:00 p.m. As for Mankato East, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Winona at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
