Softball Game Preview: Riverside Warriors vs. Gaffney Indians

The Riverside Warriors will face off against the Gaffney Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverside will be strutting in after a victory while Gaffney will be coming in after a loss.

Riverside was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Eastside on Monday. Riverside put the hurt on Eastside with a sharp 22-1 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Warriors' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Gaffney fell victim to Dorman and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cavaliers. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Indians were not able to get on the board.

Gaffney now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Riverside, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-2.

Riverside skirted past Gaffney 9-8 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Will Riverside repeat their success, or does Gaffney has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
