Football Game Recap: Springer/Maxwell vs. Animas

On Friday, Animas faced Springer/Maxwell in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Springer/Maxwell were completely outmatched, falling 6-58 to Animas. The low total for Springer/Maxwell limited their streak of high-flying scores to 4 in a row.

The defeat dropped Springer/Maxwell's record to 3-2. The win bumped Animas' record up to 4-0.

Next week Springer/Maxwell take on Grady/San Jon at 4:00 PM. Animas will look to defend their home turf against Hondo Valley at 6:00 PM. Animas are cruising in on a four-game winning streak while Hondo Valley are stumbling in off of four consecutive losses.
