Baseball Recap: Asheville T Comes Up Short

Asheville T and Hickory Christian Academy pushed the score to 14-11 the last time they played Hickory Christian Academy, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Trailblazers fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Trailblazers were not able to get on the board.

Asheville T saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sterling Haynes, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Asheville T and nudges their season record down to 8-11. As for Hickory Christian Academy, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-2.

Looking ahead, Asheville T will take on Upstate at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Hickory Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 6-4 defeat against Ambassador Christian School on the 22nd.
