Volleyball Recap: Nease Comes Up Short

Nease suffered their biggest defeat since April 13, 2024 on Monday. They lost 3-0 to the Global Outreach Charter Academy Kodiaks. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Kodiaks earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-15, 25-23.

This is the second loss in a row for Nease and nudges their season record down to 16-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 12-3 Tocoi Creek (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 76.1% over those games). As for Global Outreach Charter Academy, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5.

Looking ahead, Nease will host Menendez at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Global Outreach Charter Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Tocoi Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Toros will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Kodiaks surely won't give up without a fight.
