Baseball Game Preview: Bishop McNamara Mustangs vs. Gonzaga Eagles

Bishop McNamara hasn't had much luck against Gonzaga recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Bishop McNamara fell victim to St. John's and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to the Cadets. The game marked the first time this season in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

Bishop McNamara saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kam Knott, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Gonzaga is ranked highly in their home state and on Tuesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Paul VI. The Eagles came up short against the Panthers, falling 20-1. The Eagles have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Gonzaga's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Bishop McNamara, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9-1.
