Softball Recap: Sachse Beats Rowlett for Their Fourth Straight Victory

It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Sachse ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rowlett Eagles, sneaking past 7-6. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Logan Schultz spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on ten hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Sachse let Jaycie Watson and Zoe Worley run wild. Watson went 2-for-5 with three RBI and one double, while Worley went 2-for-5 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Maya Mcclarity, who went 2-for-5 with one stolen base and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Sachse kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in eight consecutive matchups.

Sachse's record now sits at 18-9. As for Rowlett, they now have a losing record of 14-15-1.

As of now, neither Sachse nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
