Whitley County put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 9-2 margin over the Pulaski County Maroons. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Colonels also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Whitley County got a great performance from Christian Wilson as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Spencer Bargo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Henry Bowling, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Whitley County pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Pulaski County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitley County will welcome Madison Central at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pulaski County, they will host North Laurel at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
