Volleyball Recap: Trinity Oaks Christian Academy Gets the Win

The Trinity Oaks Christian Academy Huskies narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Hiawatha Hawks 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huskies.

Trinity Oaks Christian Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-17, 25-15.

Their offense was headlined by Madison Wager and Reagan Horstman, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Caroline Raeside and her 22 assists. Natalie Freeman controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Trinity Oaks Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Hiawatha, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.

Trinity Oaks Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Maine East on the 1st. As for Hiawatha, they will host South Beloit at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
