Baseball Game Preview: Wayne Academy Jaguars vs. Simpson Academy Cougars

For the second straight game, Wayne Academy will face off against Simpson Academy. The Jaguars will be playing at home against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Wayne Academy took on Simpson Academy on Monday. The Jaguars fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 13-11.

For Simpson Academy's part, the team relied heavily on Barrett McKenney, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI McKenney has posted since back in March. Benjamin Kennedy was another key player, going 4-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Simpson Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Wayne Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Simpson Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 17-10.
