Football Recap: Uxbridge Skates Past Oxford with Ease + How To Watch

Uxbridge won the last time they faced Oxford and things went their way on Saturday too. The Spartans claimed a resounding 48-14 win over the Pirates. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Spartans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Pirates are ranked 188th).

Uxbridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Camden Lachapelle out in front who rushed for 170 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Lachapelle's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 15th straight game with at least 131 rushing yards dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Thatcher Sweeney, who picked up 133 receiving yards and three TDs.

Uxbridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Gabriel Stone and Blake Rosborough.

Uxbridge's record is now 3-0. As for Oxford, their loss dropped their record down to 1-2.

Uxbridge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 25-0 win against South on the 3rd. As for Oxford, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 34-0 victory against St. Paul on the 4th.
