Soccer Game Preview: Gilroy vs. Piedmont Hills

The Gilroy Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge the Piedmont Hills Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gilroy's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Piedmont Hills will have to contend with a Gilroy squad hungry for a win, something the team hasn't seen since the ninth. Gilroy fell just short of Leland by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 456th, while the Chargers are ranked 52nd).

Meanwhile, Piedmont Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 5-0 to Leigh.

Gilroy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-1. As for Piedmont Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4-4.
