Washburn had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Regis Ramblers get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Thursday. Washburn's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Washburn's record now sits at 10-1-1. As for Regis, they moved to 15-8 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Coming up, Washburn will square off against Assumption on Saturday. Assumption will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Washburn surely won't give up without a fight. Regis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
