Basketball Recap: Sedro-Woolley Comes Up Short

Sedro-Woolley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-44 heartbreaker at the hands of the Squalicum Storm. The Cubs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Storm from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Sedro-Woolley now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Squalicum, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sedro-Woolley will venture away from home to take on Bellingham at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Sedro-Woolley is facing Bellingham at the right time seeing as Bellingham is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Squalicum has already played their next match (against Anacortes), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
