Softball Recap: Hanover Hawks vs. Gloucester Dukes        
        
		
            
 With a playoff game on the line, Hanover rose to the challenge  on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Gloucester Dukes  a   4-0 shutout.
 The result came thanks to  Lillian Parrish's shutout, as she gave up just one  hit and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts every time she's  pitched this season.
 At the plate,  Brie Wheeler was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with a  triple and a  run.
 Hanover pushed their record up to 21-1 with that  victory, which was their 16th straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Gloucester, their defeat  ended  an  eight-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 18-1-4.
 Hanover will square off against Woodgrove at 11:00  a.m.  on Friday. Woodgrove will roll in looking for their  24th straight  win, something Hanover surely won't give up without a fight. Gloucester does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
