The Armwood Hawks will challenge the Bloomingdale Bulls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Armwood is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over Middleton on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Hawks as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Zalen Hicks looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Princeton Clark, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Christian Villanueva was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI and one double.
Armwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Middleton only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, Bloomingdale waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Spartans 8-1. The result was nothing new for the Bulls, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
James Osting tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Bloomingdale let Braxton Wilken and John Feger run wild. Wilken went 2-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one double, while Feger went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That double marked the first that Wilken hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Jennings, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Bloomingdale pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Armwood, their win bumped their record up to 5-14.
Armwood might still be hurting after the 12-1 loss they got from Bloomingdale when the teams last played back in March of 2022. Will the Hawks have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
