Baseball Recap: Green Lake/Princeton Has No Trouble Against Pardeeville

Green Lake/Princeton made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Pardeeville, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Tigersharks were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Bulldogs on Tuesday. Surprisingly, this marked the eighth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Deegan McCutcheon tossed a big game, tossing 6.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits. He also tossed two walks, which is notable because Green Lake/Princeton is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 0-3 otherwise.

At the plate, Lewis Lofgren was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Grant Bartol, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Green Lake/Princeton's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Pardeeville, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Green Lake/Princeton will head out on the road to face off against Rio at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pardeeville, they will be playing at home against Poynette at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
