Recap: Pocomoke Warriors vs. Crisfield Crabbers

The Pocomoke Warriors fought the good fight in their overtime match against the Crisfield Crabbers on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Crabbers by a score of 68-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Thursday (59), Pocomoke still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Pocomoke had strong showings from Malachi Bonneville, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Jamir Roberts, who scored 24 points along with eight steals. That's the first time this season that Bonneville scored 15 or more points.

Pocomoke's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Crisfield, their win ended a eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.

Pocomoke won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Nandua at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th. Nandua will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Crisfield won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Decatur at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. One thing working in Decatur's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests.
