Baseball Recap: Pillager Comes Up Short

Pillager lost against Pierz on May 12th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Huskies came up short against the Pioneers, falling 15-6.

Grant Grimsley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs. Pillager is 2-1 when Grimsley posts two or more runs, but 5-8 otherwise.

Pillager has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Pierz, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

As of now, neither Pillager nor the Pioneers have any future games scheduled.
