Basketball Recap: Pocomoke Find Success

If Washington wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Pocomoke, they should've done a better job of containing Donyae Washington. The Pocomoke Warriors blew past the Washington Jaguars, posting a 59-12 win with plenty of help from Washington, who almost dropped a double-double with 31 points and nine rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 43 times she's played.

Another player making a difference was Alayah Thornton, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Pocomoke's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Washington, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-20.

As of now, neither Pocomoke nor Washington have any future games scheduled.
