Basketball Game Preview: Draper APA Eagles vs. San Juan Broncos

Draper APA is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They breezed past Freedom Prep Academy to the tune of 79-12. Draper APA has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Draper APA's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Urban Baldwin, who went 6-for-14 to rack up 15 points in addition to six assists and four steals. Parker Overby was another key player, putting up 11 points along with eight boards and four steals.

Draper APA smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in eight consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, San Juan got the win against St. Joseph on Wednesday by a conclusive 68-43. The game marked the Broncos' most dominant victory of the season.

Draper APA's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points over those games. As for San Juan, their victory bumped their record up to 13-11.

Draper APA ended up a good deal behind San Juan in their previous matchup back in December of 2020, losing 62-47. Can Draper APA avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
