Softball Recap: Lawndale's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Lawndale can bid farewell to their 20-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Compton Early College Rising Phoenix 11-10.

Lawndale's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Compton Early College, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Coming up, Lawndale will be playing in front of their home fans against Culver City at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Compton Early College, they will be taking part in a tournament against Dominguez at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Compton Early College's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
