Durham School of the Arts takes loss despite strong efforts from Genesis Daniels and Kaylen Mumford

Recap: Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs vs. Louisburg Warriors

The Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 41-30 to Louisburg.

Kaylen Mumford and Genesis Daniels certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Mumford scored 15 points along with six rebounds, while Daniels scored three points along with eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mumford has scored all season.

Chloe Arrington was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for Louisburg. Arrington is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryanne Arrington, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and five blocks.

Durham School of the Arts bumped their record down to 2-9 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Louisburg, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Carrboro the next time they take the court. Durham School of the Arts will host Carrboro at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Louisburg will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
