Softball Game Preview: Valley Central Vikings vs. Warwick Wildcats

The Valley Central Vikings will head out on the road to square off against the Warwick Wildcats at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Valley Central has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Valley Central let Goshen Central stack four runs on them in the first inning on Thursday but luckily Valley Central prevailed anyway. The Vikings won by a run and slipped past the Gladiators 5-4.

Meanwhile, Warwick narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Cornwall Central 3-1. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Etta Garofalo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

Valley Central's record now sits at 7-5. As for Warwick, their record is now 9-5.
