Basketball Recap: Tyee Takes a Loss

Tyee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 83-53 loss at the hands of the Decatur Golden Gators. The Titans lost against the Golden Gators in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 92-35 score last time.

Dominique Degrate went supernova for Decatur, almost dropping a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds. What's more, Degrate also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Damario Bougard, who posted 12 points and eight boards.

Tyee's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Decatur, they pushed their record up to 6-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Tyee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 83-45 defeat against Inglemoor on the 17th. Decatur has also already played their next contest, a 67-60 loss against Enumclaw on the 17th.
