Basketball Recap: Green Hope Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Green Hope lost against Broughton back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Falcons had to suffer through a 75-32 loss at the hands of the Capitals. The loss put an end to the Falcons' undefeated start to the season.

Despite the loss, Green Hope still got an impressive performance from Samir Henriquez, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Houston Hock, who had four points.

Leading Broughton to victory were Jordan Page and Sam Emrich. Page shot 80% from the field to rack up 26 points and seven rebounds, while Emrich went 6-for-10 on his way to 17 points and three steals. Page's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Hudson Fitzgerald was another key player, putting up four points and six assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, Green Hope fell to 2-1. As for Broughton, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Green Hope wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 42-39 victory against Holly Springs on the 21st. As for Broughton, they have also already played their next contest, an 80-72 loss against Prince George's Christian Academy on the 21st.
