Last Tuesday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Capital had to settle for a 63-61 defeat against Woodrow Wilson. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Capital in their matchups with Woodrow Wilson: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Huntington scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took down Spring Valley 94-76.
It was another big night for Mikey Johnson, who scored 26 points along with nine assists and seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that he posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Clark, who scored 27 points.
Capital's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Huntington, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Things could have been worse for Capital, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 77-59 loss to Huntington when the teams last played back in January of 2023.
