Football Recap: West Nassau Skates Past Lake Weir with Ease + How To Watch

West Nassau won against Ridgeview last Friday with 48 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Warriors simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lake Weir Hurricanes 48-12. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won three matchups by 36 points or more so far this season.

West Nassau's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Smo Green, who rushed for 82 yards and a pair of scores. Avery Griffin was another key player, gaining 143 total yards and a touchdown.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for West Nassau, adding 16 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Josh Stafford, who ran a punt back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a kickoff return touchdown from him.

The victory keeps West Nassau at an undefeated 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.3 points on average this season. As for Lake Weir, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, West Nassau will be playing at home against Hamilton County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Weir, they will head out to challenge Bell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
