Volleyball Recap: Germantown Takes a Loss

Germantown lost against Bartlett back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Red Devils came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0.

Germantown may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored zero points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Bartlett's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emerson Berkes led the charge by getting eight digs and five aces. That's the most digs Berkes has posted over her last 11 contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Zadie Cress, who had six digs, five kills, and five aces.

Germantown's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Bartlett, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-20 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Germantown will challenge Collierville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bartlett, they will head out to challenge Lakeland Preparatory at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
