Preview: Greenwood Bulldogs vs. Little Rock Christian Academy Warriors
Greenwood is on a ten-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Little Rock Christian Academy is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Greenwood Bulldogs will take on the Little Rock Christian Academy Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Greenwood faced Pulaski Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Everything went Greenwood's way against Pulaski Academy as Greenwood made off with a 58-33 win. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Kane Archer was his usual excellent self, throwing for 274 yards and five touchdowns, while also punching in three touchdowns on the ground. Archer is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Arrington, who picked up 93 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Little Rock Christian Academy at home against Greenbrier on Friday as the squad secured a 55-7 victory.
It was another big night for Walker White, who threw for 228 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Ward, who rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Their wins bumped Greenwood to 9-0 and Little Rock Christian Academy to 8-1.
Keep an eye on the end zone in Friday's game as both teams haven't had much trouble getting there this season. Greenwood commands a daunting offense this season, having averaged 7.1 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like Little Rock Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.6 per game. With these two high-octane teams facing off on Friday, fans should be in for an exciting offensive matchup.
Greenwood lost to Little Rock Christian Academy at home by a decisive 49-35 margin in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Will Greenwood have more luck at home instead of on the road?
