Volleyball Recap: Durfee Triumphs

Durfee won the last time they faced Middleborough and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hilltoppers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Sachems.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 24-26, 25-10, 25-18.

Avery Antunes paced Durfee's offense, picking up six kills. Antunes got some help from Riley Currin and her 21 assists. Antunes was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Durfee's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Middleborough, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Coming up, Durfee will head out on the road to challenge Fairhaven at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Middleborough, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Bishop Stang at 5:30 p.m.
