Softball Recap: P.K. Yonge Takes a Loss

P.K. Yonge fell victim to Union County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 12-0 to the Fightin' Tigers. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Blue Wave's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

P.K. Yonge saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Mansfield, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Mansfield's first of the season.

P.K. Yonge's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Union County, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, P.K. Yonge will host Interlachen at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Union County, they will head out to take on Dixie County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.64 runs per game on average), something the Fightin' Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
