Softball Recap: Trinity Classical Academy Comes Up Short

Trinity Classical Academy extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-8. They lost 34-24 to the Palmdale Academy Charter School Jaguars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 14-13 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Heaven Galbreath and Aubrey Kua did some serious damage despite the final result: Galbreath got on base in four of her six plate appearances with five runs, three RBI, and one double, while Kua got on base in five of her six plate appearances with five runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Sofia Previtire, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with four runs and one RBI.

As for Palmdale Academy Charter School, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-6. That looming 34-24 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

On Palmdale Academy Charter School's side, Kaitlin Avila was a standout: she went 4-for-6 with one home run, four RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Avila a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alessandra Martinez, who went 3-for-7 with seven RBI, one triple, and one double.
