Football Recap: Lincoln Lions vs. Branham Bruins
Lincoln was the 40-12 winner over Branham when they last played one another back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Lincoln Lions took a hard 55-40 fall against the Branham Bruins on Friday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even though they lost, Lincoln was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 246 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 160 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups.
Branham got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Michael Murphy out in front who rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. As for Branham, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Santa Teresa at 7:15 p.m. Branham is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 34 points per game this season.
