Volleyball Recap: Vanguard Academy Takes a Loss

Vanguard Academy came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Carbon Dinos, falling 3-0. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Dinos earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Brayson Taylor paced Vanguard Academy's offense, picking up 16 kills. Taylor got some help from Ben Kingston and his 20 assists. Kingston was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Vanguard Academy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Carbon, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vanguard Academy will square off against Rockwell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vanguard Academy is facing Rockwell at the right time seeing as Rockwell is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Carbon, they will challenge American Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
