Recap: Indian Lake Lakers vs. Greenville Green Wave
The Indian Lake Lakers couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Greenville by a score of 33-30. Indian Lake lost against Greenville in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 55-50 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Indian Lake lost on Monday, one person who can't be blamed is Haylee Edwards. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Hill, who scored 6 points.
Indian Lake's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Greenville, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Indian Lake will take on Bellefontaine at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Greenville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sidney at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
