Alcoa came tearing into Saturday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Powell Panthers by a score of 4-1. This was a revenge game for the Tornadoes: when they faced off against the Panthers two weeks ago, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

The team relied heavily on Halle Bailey, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Makenna McCarter, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles.

Alcoa pushed their record up to 28-6-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Powell, they moved to 18-8 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Alcoa will challenge Halls at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Powell, they will take on Carter at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
