Soccer Game Preview: West Potomac vs. West Springfield

The West Potomac Wolverines will venture away from home to face off against the West Springfield Spartans at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

West Potomac is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Alexandria City on Friday. The Wolverines and the Titans finished up their contest with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, West Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of South County. That's two games in a row now that West Springfield have lost by just one goal.

West Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. West Potomac's draw gives them a new season record of 7-2-1.
