There's no place like home for Mission Oak, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Lemoore Tigers on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Hawks: when they faced off against the Tigers last Wednesday, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Gage Hastin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Braylen Vera was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Chase Break was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Mission Oak kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lemoore only managed six hits.

Mission Oak's victory bumped their record up to 3-7-1. As for Lemoore, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mission Oak will challenge rival Tulare Union at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Lemoore is set to take on their familiar foe Dinuba at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
