Softball Game Preview: Muskego Warriors vs. Waukesha West Wolverines

Muskego has gone 8-2 against Waukesha West recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Warriors will head out to take on the Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. Waukesha West took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Muskego, who comes in off a win.

Muskego's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over Mukwonago.

Not much got past Cora Jahimiak, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Mukwonago off the board. Jahimiak has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Reese Heinrich, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Muskego hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mukwonago struck out nine times.

Meanwhile, Waukesha West came up short against Kettle Moraine on Monday and fell 12-7.

Payton Hisel was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Paige Kahle, who went 2-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI.

Muskego has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Waukesha West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Everything went Muskego's way against Waukesha West when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Muskego made off with a 7-1 win. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolverines turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
