Softball Recap: East Union Starts Season with Defeat at Home

East Union unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Mount Ayr Raiders by a score of 8-7 on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. East Union is set to square off against their familiar foe Martensdale-St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mount Ayr will challenge rival Nodaway Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
