Football Game Preview: Pearl River Central Blue Devils vs. Sumrall Bobcats + How To Watch

The Pearl River Central Blue Devils will head out on the road to square off against the Sumrall Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Pearl River Central is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Poplarville on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Blue Devils were outmatched by the Hornets and fell 49-14. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Pearl River Central might have lost, but man, Titus Feaster was a machine: he rushed for 107 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 carries, and also threw for 150 yards while completing 72.7% of his passes. 82 of Feaster's passing yards were hauled in by John Feaster.

Meanwhile, Sumrall put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past West Marion 41-21. While the Bobcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pearl River Central fell to 3-1. As for Sumrall, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Pearl River Central couldn't quite get it done against Sumrall when the teams last played back in September of 2022 as they fell 20-7. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
