Baseball Recap: Gilbert Classical Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against ALA - Anthem South last Wednesday, Gilbert Classical Academy came back down to earth. The Gilbert Classical Academy Spartans fell just short of the Veritas Prep Falcons by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 4-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Gilbert Classical Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Roco, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Gilbert Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gilbert Classical Academy is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will challenge Trivium Prep at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Veritas Prep, they will head out to take on Glendale Prep Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
