Baseball Game Preview: Woodbridge Warriors vs. Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles

The Woodbridge Warriors will challenge the Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Capistrano Valley Christian will be up against a hot Woodbridge squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Woodbridge was the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over Summerville on Friday.

Woodbridge got a great performance from Dylan Mutuc as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, Nolan Stottlemyer was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Nevan Namgoong, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.

Meanwhile, Capistrano Valley Christian waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by an 8-2 margin over the Nighthawks.

Woodbridge's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
