Basketball Game Preview: Bremen Blue Devils vs. Cedartown Bulldogs

Bremen hasn't had much luck against Cedartown recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bremen Blue Devils will venture away from home to challenge the Cedartown Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Bremen came up into this matchup off a tough 45-point loss on December 13th. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Bowdon by a score of 67-64 two weeks ago. The Blue Devils just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Cedartown's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 62-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hokes Bluff. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 395th in Georgia, while the Eagles are ranked 140th in Alabama).

Bremen's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Cedartown, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Bremen suffered a grim 62-39 defeat to Cedartown when the teams last played back in November. Can Bremen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
