Baseball Recap: Muskogee Comes Up Short

Muskogee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-3 to the Stillwater Pioneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-4 on Monday.

Owen Gilliam was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Chris Daniels, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Muskogee's defeat dropped their record down to 10-19. As for Stillwater, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-7.

Looking ahead, Muskogee will venture away from home to challenge Checotah at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Roughers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stillwater, they will be playing at home against Victory Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
