Softball Recap: Cox Mill Chargers vs. Central Academy of Technology & Arts Cougars
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central Cabarrus, Cox Mill was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Central Academy of Technology & Arts Cougars by a score of 12-7. This was a revenge game for the Chargers: when they faced off against the Cougars back in March, they had to take a 8-3 loss.
Audrey Barnhill made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Barnhill was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Paige Harmer, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
